What's the weed like on the Teewah beach?

Thinking of camping on the Noosa North Shore next week and fishing the beach up to Double Island Point. Does anyone know how the weed is at the moment? The 'FishingNoosa.com' site for last week said the weed was mainly in the northern sections, but I've been caught by their reports before. I guess they don't want to discourage people by negative reports. Has anyone been there in the last few days?

I was up there 2 weekends ago, only small amount of weed north end but heaps down southern end near Noosa.

Their is considerable weed in general, however you will find that it is blown in by any Northerly or North Easterly winds. I fish their often and have found if these winds prevail leading up to your trip you may better off watching the cricket. Southerly, Westerley and South Easters really break it up or push it off-shore and you will find good fishing. Got some great Bream & Dart last Sunday.
