I know how cool piercings and body jewelery are, but I just can't see this taking off in the fishing fraternity.

I hope it was his own cast and not someone else in the boat. :(

I used to fish with a guy, mainly in the surf, whose cast ended up like this. It was a life threatening experience to stand beside him. I always preferred to walk to see if there was a better gutter down the beach.

Shame the hooks on the treble were so close together, obviously stopped him smiling for the photo. ::) :-? :o

Does this make you feel "at one with the fish" ?

Don't think it would stop me.... ;D

The color goes well with his out fit. They say you have to match the fish with your lure.

I have heard it said that the QANTAS lure will catch most things and is a must for every lure box.

The removal is going to hurt !

My dog ended up looking like that, wouldn't sit still for the photos though. :D
I grabbed the side cutters, wrestled him to the ground, held him down with a knee on the neck and cut the treble legs and pushed the hooks through his lips, :o cheap piercings. ;D ;D
The technique would work on this guy too ::)

Cheap body piercing.

I wonder if he had a ring or stud put in when the hook came out?

Got a treble stuck in my hand a few weeks ago while on holiday.
Went to the medical centre at the resort and the nurse freaked out saying that she didn't know what to do , and said I better get a water taxi and go to hospital. I asked her to get me some side cutters as I pushed the hooks through she almost spewed on the floor saying that she had not seen that done before.
I then thanked her for her time and went back fishing.

And yes it hurt like hell to push hooks through your own hand.

I picked up a woman today (i'm a paramedic) and she had trod on a catfish. The dorsal barb went straight throu her 4th toe.

She had to laugh, as we all did, as she was hobbling between two friends and there is this little catfish hanging off her foot bouncing around. It musta been all of 5 inches long!!!

I did feel sorry for her thou, musta hurt, I didnt hang around for the screaming when the hospital tried to remove it thou!

I've been through the catfish thing, twice, I think I'd almost rather have the hooks, not in the face though, ouch is right.

Muzz.

What fishing factor? Might be a 100 point ANSA masters capture. :D

I feel for him, not too much smooching after the removal I bet :'(

Luc

PS - always flatten barbs on any of my lures.

That technique you use, it sounds familiar. Are you my dentist??? :o
