Keen to take the misses and young fella out in the boat. Just in the river, on calm days, short trip etc. How small can you get life jackets? My bloke is only 6mths old - I reckon he'd be safe as houses considering where I'm going, but you just can't be too safe I suppose.

Any rules on how old kids have to be before going boating? What type of life jackets can you get for kids that small?

one brand name is Excel most whitworths or bias boating should stock them

they also have a handle on them in case worst scenario baby ends up in water

Kids under 12 months do not require a life jacket by law. I waited till my young bloke was 12 months till we got one for him, just make sure it has a crotch strap so it cant slide over his head.
If you take the little fellow swimming at all try and do a bit with the life jacket on too so he gets used to being in the water with it on.
Safe boating ;)

Cheers and Beers
