Hervey Bay Charter

Going on a 4 day charter on the Golden Phoenix out of Hervey Bay in May.
Anyone had any experience on this boat?

No experience on that boat, many good reports from her. You have picked just about the best location to do a charter, these days. May is not a bad time to do it either.

Not too sure if that boat does fillets or gut & gill, best to ask, that way you take the right size esky up.

Here's a tip, try to get a hold of a butchers apron or similar. ( Vinnies etc, should have them for a dollar ) Makes wiping your hands easy. You know, all that bait yucky stuff. saves yer clothes as well.

Another tip, always try to get the ' fresh ' bait fillet off the deckie. Also be prepared for the bigger fish around the sunset. Go the big baits. Good luck
