Thought I'd share this with you. #:)True story, the pic was taken this week Tuesday. I wrote the poem when we got home. It's B.P. Dam.

Hope you enjoy, Cheers,

Graeme

5 a.m.fishing

an avian audience
erupts in thunderous applause
as Mercury sprints by
planing a silver streak
on the mist-covered mirror.

dawn nudges a foggy blanket aside
turning skies Prussian
as pelagic predators
disturb the silent render
of this lethargic lagoon.

plying stringed seduction
angled plastic legerdemain
tempts underwater appetites
but rods remain rigid
as ripples tickle aluminium.

with empty creel yawning
yet feeling strangely replete
tires hum promises
chanting next time to the breeze
heading home contented.

I'm impressed Wewak!

Got a real talent there...could be the beginnings (or continuance) of something worthwhile...Fishing inspired poetry with accompanying pics...make a great Fathers day gift ( and I'm being quite serious...not taking the mickey) I really value people who can put these sorts of ideas together

Cheers

Rhys

I agree with your Rhys.

Or maybe a regular column in a Fishing Mag like Bush N Beach. #I am sure Wewak that if you contact Ben Collins at bnbmedia@bigpond.net.au you would find he may interested.
