G'Day

We are a mature couple from the UK, been in Mooloolaba for 4 weeks now. We live along the canal. We have been lucky catching muddies, however we are looking to go fishing.

We have two rods and a pack of sinkers etc. Now we are clueless in what and where to fish. We chat to everyone who we see fishing, to get some tips. We are not sure really how to rig our lines.

We are looking for someone who lives in the local area who goes fishing either in the sea, off the coast or in the canal whom we could join for a beginners guide to fishing. We are quick learners.

Jackie & Paul Spinkway :)

Are you land based or have a boat? I have heard that some nice mackeral can be caught out in the bay in front of the harbour. Have a look in the reports section and you might get some ideas. Picked a nice spot to lay your hat.
