Hi folks;

I have given a couple of recommendations on this site for people to get 1/2 kilo bags of banana prawns as bait from the bait shop at the BP servo in Manly. (Watertower Bait & Tackle)

When I went in there this week, the lady behind the counter advised me that the prawns had suffered a "technical price rise" from the supplier in that they were the same price but that the bags are now 400 grams not 500 grams.

That is effectively a 25% price increase. Wow! >:( >:( >:(

They are great bait and I shall probably continue to buy some but for those people who had asked, it may be useful to know of this. I don't recall the person but one guy was asking where to get good prawns to take to the Toyota Fraser Island comp.

As I buy them once or twice every week, I am tempted to search out bigger quantities myself. :-/

if your buying bait in bulk, try www.##########.com.au

they sell relately cheap bait and you can get it deleviered.

Another way is to buy green prawns from woolworths, ( eating qualitiy for say $10 a kg).
the bigger the prawn the better the catch.
