Gday, i was keen to try my hand at catching bull sharks in the brissy river. The area i was thinking of targeting was between st lucia and lone pine, fishing from the bank. I was looking for some tips on bait and rigs needed and any good locations. Any hints would be great.

I have used a whole poddy mullet or gar on a balloon float with six foot dropper and good wire trace on the runout as far upstream as the junction near ipswich with good results and on the run in my m8 uses a slab bait on the bottom with good wire trace and a sturdy handline and he reckons it works well too so give that a try, good luck :)

There must be a few in the river. I've seen one about 1metre come right out of the water and do a body roll, right in front of the Port Office in the city reach, during the day.
