View Full Version : Shifted to New Server

The site is now on a new server, you will notice that there is a different address in the location bar "http://147.202.71.34/forum/YaBB.cgi" this will change once the domain is redelegated.

Have tested just about everything else but with a move the size of this one there is bound to be something not quite right. If you find anything please feel free to let me know.

Yes, Steve, the new address was the first thing I noticed when logging on this morning.

No probs so far,

Just like to thank you for your effort. I've got no idea what's involved in the administration of the site but I'm guessing it takes a huge amount of time and dedication to keep up the high standard you've achieved here.

Sincerely
Bruce McD.

Yeh, great work!
The site is really fast again but .........................

Many of us seem to have lost our members picture below our name?
I have an AUSFISH symbol under mine and most of the others have a cross in the picky box!

Wonder why?

Not happy Jan!!

Please tell me how I have lost my status and my avitar. On another thread I was told that I must have logged in using capital letters, which is why I appear as a newbie. Never did, I didn't log in with capital letters to change my passwords, and even now, I enter my membership name in L/C and the e-mail I get with the new password is in CAPITAL LETTERS.... But if you look at my profile it has been 953 days since joining with total number of posts as 2. Something screwie going on, but it looks like I have been demoted from my silver membership, unless anyone can tell me how I can fix it from this end. What am I doing wrong??

I would suggest you log out of the name SCALEM that you are in now. Then clear your cookies.

Then open Ausfish again using http://147.202.71.34/forum/YaBB.cgi. Log in using the name Scalem spelt exactly like that with a capital S. Should be the same password you had before. I note SCALEM and Scalem have the same email address so you must have created them both.

Let me know how you go.

Mod 5 sorry but seems maybe the fact that I have changed email address during server change is causing the problem. New passwords are being sent to old email that I can't access. It keeps saying mismatched password or username is there anyway to overcome this. Andrew.

Email me your old and new email address to mod5@ausfish.com and I will reset it for you.

Andrew,

Similar problems as mine on page two except I didn't change my e-mail address.... When you have your new password, make sure you copy and paste the new password in, don't try to type it. Especially with 0's and "O's" it can be challenging!!

Steve,
I have Internet explorer.
Each time I post, with an attachment,I get a message saying that there is a problem, and explorer is shutting down, and does so.
Sometimes it still posts,then shuts down,and other times,just shuts down,without posting.Any Ideas?

Use a real browser like Firefox #;D ;D

Only joking http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/

Seems to be working fine. Most likely a local browser/windows problem.
