Hi guys, had a quick look through yellowpages etc and didn't come up with much. Am going over to Moreton for a weekend soon, and looking for a place to buy some bait on the way to the barge. Will be coming from the Western Suburbs and looking for anything between here and Lytton. Can you buy bait at Moreton anywhere? (we're not going to be near the northern end). Any places you guys know of would be appreciated, cheers.

Steve.

You can get bait on the barge.

Thanks Rhetly, is it likely to be better bait then the stuff you get at the servo's around the place, or much n' muchness ? cheers.

Same stuff I believe although I found it to be in pretty good nick as far as frozen baits go.

I find the quality of frozen bait at Water Tower Bait & Tackle at the BP garage at Manly to be pretty good. It sits in a big upright freezer like the supermarkets have for their frozen goods and you help yourself.

The best place to buy bait on the way there is at Sam's Seafood. It will be the freshest bait you can buy! Then just sneak over the gateway bridge, turn left & you're at Lytton.

If you want the best fish, get the best bait. And if it's not live bait, it was that morning!

(Just my opinion)

I agree with Fishin_Dan, I go to the local fish shop and get fresh stuff when I can. The good ones have fresh squid for around $10 a kilo, reckon thats pretty hard to beat

We always drop in at Morgans on the way. You get fresh bait for about 1/4 to 1/3 of the price.
