DEAR ALL TOUCHY IS IN THE ICU AT THE PA HOSPITAL AN IS BEING KEPT ALIVE VIA A MACHINE AND THE PROGNOSIS IS NOT LOOKING GOOD AT THIS STAGE. THE MRI SCAN SHOWS A ABSUS ON HIS SPINAL CORD AND HIS STOMACH HAS A AIR BUBBLE. THE DOCTORS ARE NOT ABLE TO OPERATE AS HE HAS TWO INFECTIONS TAKING OVER HIS HOLE BODY. i DON'T THINK ANY ONE CAN SEE HIM AS HE IS IN INTENSIVE CARE BUT ANY MORE INFO I CAN BE CONTACTED ON MY MOBILE

After having a rough trot when i had my heart op at the P.A. i can say that he is in good hands as i got the best treatment you could get at a hospital.

I was hoping to visit Fred today but unfortunately they are only allowing family in ICU. Jonno promised to keep us informed - all we can do is hope and wait for some good news.

It was only a few weeks ago that Fred was sitting at my kitchen table extolling the virtues of his latest soft plastic acquisition.
He spoke of techniques, hook sizes and retrieve rates with a passion that only the ultra keen would understand.
I handed over some samples I'd been sent from the USA and we spoke of their uniqueness and how we would fish them.
His enthusiasm and passion for our sport had me looking forward to standing shoulder to shoulder with him throwing rubbers for Bay snapper - a plan that was hatched over a cuppa and arranged for a few weeks time.
No one is keener than me to carry out that plan - albeit now a few weeks delayed.

Mate the boat is fuelled up, gear loaded and there's a permanent spot for you - as soon as you're well enough.
