Next VIP / Blind Fishing Trip (Volunteers)

Hi Guys
For those that can or would like to volunteer, the next trip is set for Friday 28th July 06 time to be set as yet. Place, deep water bend. I beleive its a high tide at 1117 at the brisbane bar on the day. Lets hope i can be there this time.

I'm in subject to the deckie's shifts as she hasn't got 'em yet due to being on leave, but atm, I think it's ok.

I'm only a couple of minutes fron DWB and I've plenty of room, so if you want to finish off with a cuppa at my place, you're welcome.

Is this blue card thing turning people away? Is it necessary, as I don't recall any kiddies there last time? Come on, nth side based guys and girls if you can spare a couple of hours you'll enjoy the day, scouts honour ;D

That would be a damn shame. The blind and visually impaired people are a great bunch to help out at these events.

I have always thought that I don't have a charitable bone in my body but I found the experience of attending the last such day out to be very rewarding.

Hopefully, you will get a quorum.

hoping for the same charlie as it may be my last trip with these guys, might be moving on to another organisation. would like to leave thinking it was going to be a regular event.

at this stage do not have enough volunteers, havent contacted lone wolf as yet, he is usually good for two, if so we have 6 and need 4 more, I'm in hospital this friday, don't know how long as yet. . Hopefully should know if we have enough by next wednesday, will pm Julies work address for you in case i'm not about in time.

That's a bit of bad news on the hospital front, hope alls ok. Looks like I wont meet you again. Hang on this isn't a ruse to try and get me to show up to a third one is it. ;D ;D Not that it matters too much as I'm sort of looking foward to catching up with Shane, Michael and the Pelican Man again (if PM talks another fish up this time we'll have to change his name to fish wisperer instead) ;)

well according to the doc the surgery went well, will get the final result next friday. speaking of which the trip for the 28th has been called off. :'(
