Pete,
I think i could think of better than MONGREL but perhaps we should leave it at that.
Hope you get your replacements.

Oh crap mate, the b#st*rds.

Don't know of any specials on Penn's, but when Shimano have their specials a couple of times a year, they're hard to beat.

Where did you get your rods made? Budds Bait and Tackle at Cleveland do very nice custom overheads on Pacific Composite blanks.

There are some real low lives out there I bet you wish you could have caught them in the act , I know I would have taught them a few ways to use a fishing rod that they wouldnt of thought of .

If we keep a watch out for the gear, it will turn up somewhere!
Who ever stole it, will use it, or you find it in the hock shop.
I hate theft, in any shape or form.

I had three rods knocked off, walked into cash converters three weeks later and found two of the rods for sale. Spoke to the owner of the shop and picked the rods up from the cop shop the next day. Fairly tinny I know, but worth a look.

what a grand gesture from mono-true aussie spirit -unlike the low life scum that took your gear. They should be publicly shamed-made to wear a sign around their necks for a months saying i am a low life who likes to steal

just a thought

good luck recovering it i hope it all works ouut for you

Hope the person who stole them doesn't get a fish on them EVER. Hope they get caught or better still have someone steal from them something they really care for. >:( >:( >:(

mono good on you mate good to see there are good people around :)

Pete is it worth trying to claim on your home insurance??? but will hike up your premiums or excess I guess.

Yes, that a very nice offer by Mono. It's the kind of offer that makes you think.

Something very Australian about that one.

However, I have said this before about us aussies being very ordinary when it comes to security.

We all do it. We just think it will not happen to us.

Sorry about your loss.
A big thanks to Mono.

My grandfather had a saying.
98% or people are great and 2% are bastards and you should ignore the bastards. Guess that was in olden times.

Very hard to ignore bastards like that. Also had my Minn Kota and battery stolen and really annoyed the piss out of me.
Anyway ended up replacing them but still give you the shits that there is low lifes like that.

A GOOD COUPLE OF JABS WITH A CATTLE PROD TO THE PRIVATES IS MY THOUGHT.

Hope that there is someone up there watching and the bastards have a run of really bad luck.

Regards
Trev
