Red faces at the boat show

Went to the boat show today(sat),my brother got lost and i found him later with a cheap looking rod and reel,he said "look at this jim i brought it at an auction over there for 30 bucks,"yeah so" i said,he said" it's unbrakeable","crap"i said, he said "come on lets go over an i"ll show ya". Anyway were there and the bloke was getting a girl to test a rod like the one my brother brought,and he yelled out ," HEY MY BROTHER DOSN'T BELEVE THAT THEY CAN'T BREAK".At that point i tried to melt into the crowd but the guy said "well come here and try it mate,"Righto china your on mate ,i grabbed the stick and give it a bit and he said "HARDER",i give it a bit more and it started to crack, i said"it"s gunna break mate",he said "keep going it"s just the bindings giving". "ok", next thing 'BANG' broke in 3 pieces and he"s holding the dangling bit"s up looking dumbfounded.About 50 people there laughing there heads off,i dont think he sold a rod for the next 10 mins after that.

Reckon that a lot of the shi? that they sell at some of those cheaper outlets is exactly that.

But haven't found a rod yet that wouldn't break.

Everything has a breaking point it all depends how much pressure or force that you put on it.

Had a great rod but the tree branch was a bit harder when it was still in the rod holder when we came up a new ramp.

Yeah, I know my own fault, but everything including the better half has this breaking point. Doesn't pay to go past it though if you want to survive or want your gear to survive.

Show how smart the spruiker was to even say the word unbreakable. Guess he might rethink his choice of words.

Was it from the mario brothers? These guys are at al the shows, and are an absolute crack-up - I dont think any of them actually fish - they just know how to crap on a lot - like sprukers outside some seedy nightlclub!!
