30th Birthday Surprise Cake

Hi Guys,

Just wanted to show you something a little different. I had my 30th birthday party on saturday night and my wife organised for a special surprise for me. She called me in from outside and I saw this sculpture on the table and I wondered whether she’d taxidermied one of the fish we caught from last trip at first. But it ended up being my birthday cake! A lady from my work makes these incredible cakes. You have to agree she is extremely talented.

Thanks for the replys guys. I appreciate the well wishes. I had a great day. All the outside of the fish including the prawns, oysters and the base were made out of marzipan icing so you could eat the whole lot. It was pretty funny filleting it and finding cake inside instead of guts. Tasted great too. I reckon he went about 5kg at a guess. :D
