After much patient waiting, I am pleased to announce the safe arrival at 0849hrs this morning (8/11/06) of SAMUEL JAMES WALSH. He entered the big wide world with a hearty cry at Redlands Hospital and I am as proud as punch!! At 3.75kg (8lb,4oz in the old money) and 54cm in length, I think this one's definitely a keeper. Mum and baby are both doing well and life as I know it will probably never be the same. I now have 2 heirs to my throne and fortune and we'll see if we can get them bit by the fihing bug early in the piece. Photos to follow hopefully.
Cheers,
NICK.

Congrats Nick and Mrs Nick [smiley=thumbsup.gif]
Looks like Sam has arrived to greet the world in his own little way...a huge yell. That will come in handy when you have a big brother :)
And your right...life will never be the same...it can only get better :)
All the best

Ah, there will be no more Grasshopper, as I am already sussing out a mid-year dance with DOCTOR SNIP! And no amount of Government cabbage can bring me out of retirement. My job is done and they can fight over the spoils as the last of my scattered ashes blows away in the breeze.

Congrats mate!
There's no feeling in the world as magical as becoming a parent.
IMO most people don't realise what a privillege it is to be a parent, but the pride in your post says you have this well and truly worked out!
Please pass on my well wishes to Mum as well!

Nick - that dance with Dr Snip is definitely one which many blokes cannot bring themselves to do. Is a difficult choice to make.
I for one have offered my Mrs a deal, 2 more kids and I will get in line for that dance.
Yeah . . . she laughed at me ;D ;D (well more like scoffed) since she reckons it is safe as houses I won't need to since she isn't having any more etc etc.
But I just remind her that it takes a lot for a bloke to committ to actually saying those words that he will do it and it wasn't an easy decision to make either I can tell you. To actually put a nominal value on ya bits :-X :-X.
I have drawn my line in the sand.
2 more and snippitty snip snip snippa-de-doo (actually I hope it's a bit more precise than that lol).
