I cant beleve it. No one knows that one. Well I,ll tell you all what it means to me.
This movie had a part in it that got me hooked, and was the first game reel that I ever brought.

They came in 4/0,s 6/0,s and so on to a 16/0.
and most of you old school blokes would of used them.
Grand marlin!
NO wasnt an everol. These reels were a star drag over head.

Kingtin! Not this time, but Quick thinking thou. ;D ;D ;D

Hi tunaman,
can remember the scene, but no bloody idea what the

is Penn to obvious to guess.

For some names out of left field #how about an Aussie made Capstan ! (theres a name the young-uns won't know). I don't think Seascape ever went that big or had a black plate. Or a company called schaffer or schauffer or something like the writing pen company name.

Find a picture of zane graey and i'd say it'd be the reel he was using.

Could it be an old Duel reel?

Loved JAWS, although I was too young to see it when it was released. Also love that it was LOOSELY based on a true story from the US.

Noelem you were spot on with all that you said, and I think it was 1979
when my dad took us all to the drive-in movies and it scared the living sh$t out of me.
I didnt go near the water for months after that, but that reel screeming
got into my blood and I just had to get one.

It was a 6/0 penn. and that little reel and I, saw many adventures.

Evrols comes form italy or spagetti reels we used to call them, and Ill think you will find that they are lever drag systems, I think they came out a few years before the gold Penn internationals came into the picture. The 50T or the 50TW are my favorates, but those little penn,s were what I cut my teeth on. Those were the days.

Grand marlin. Look on the side plate in the movie. I think finnor also had them with a marlin on them, but not sure.
