I have been on fishing charters from Gold Coast, Mooloolaba and even Brisbane but not for some time. Planning on going out for a day trip with some friends and wanted to know if anyone had any good recommendations.
I have been on several disappointing charters with some terrible operators and was hoping to avoid a repeat.

Any Help appreciated !

I UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU MEAN --- BK ARE SUPPOSED TO BE REALLY GOOD FROM THE GOLD COAST -- HAPPY TO PAY TO HIRE THE BOAT BETWEEN A SMALLER GROUP OF PEOPLE AS MOST OF THEM HAVE 12-16 PEOPLE ON THEM..

PM ME IF YOUR INTERESTED

Smaller operators are certainly the best, nothing worse than being shoulder to shoulder with 10 gumboots who don't have a clue what they're doing.

Give John Gooding at Outlaw Charters a call. He runs a Haines 680 and only takes four passengers. Leaves from Manly, a good operator.

Heard nothing but good reports about John Palermo.

Personally had 4 trips with Noosa Blue Water charters, don't know whether he still owns the business but Mick is a top Skip and always put us on the fish.

Ditto Brissyguy. Been out with Noosa Blue Water Charters b4 aswell - excellent crew and excellent fish.

p.s. tomcat charters? ...good?....big sars. maybe if you don't expect much. Do yourself a favour and save the money.

Tom Cat Charters >:( 1 decky for 12 blokes. Captain fished while decky worked his ring off. Outlaw Charters is far more professional. Just my personal opinion.

Tomcat will go out in any weather as long as theres not a stong wind warning current and work the same old ground day in day out south of point lookout. I'm with dieter save yourself the cash. John Palermo on his new boat nitro is the way to go!

Very mixed opinions of charters on here, I think it must be to do with expectations and experience. All the charters seem to advertise to the same market, when some really need to be targeting a specific niche in the market, maybe then peoples opinions would be less varied?
