we were spear fisahing at cape mortern and got in the boat to go home when we nearly got capsized and thje spear gun fell over board it is a sea hornet and has a five spiked head

Probably got rammed by one of those wobbygongs, dangerous fish when you piss them off, you got gps marks for where it went down that would be most useful.

Wobbys are anything but defenceless.. Plenty of divers with great big chunks missing from their legs can attest to that. :P

i have dived with them heaps have over 400 loged dives the golden rule leave them alone and you will have no problems would you pat a dog going off at you ??????????? no no no
would you go close to a tipan ??????????? no no no so the is no differance i have have heard of a (all but few ) attacks on divers but in all incidentces the diver has annoyed the wooby if you were poked or pushed at you would defend yourself too

Have lost a few of those chem. The funny thing is, we have been anchored up, dropped a gun over the side and have had 4 or 5 guys in the water searching for it and never found them. I think turtles are swimming off with them too. Maybe the fifth ninja turtle, spearotardo......?
