Geez James,

Didn't think I'd see the day you'd sell the Haines mate. Good luck with the sale and your right, she won't last long at that price.

Any time you want a run in the Southwind, just let me know, we might as well go for a fish too ;) The later Southern Stars are a nice ride, but I believe they still use the same hull (??) Actually thought of selling the Southwind a few weeks ago .... but not ready yet.

Anyhoo, good luck with the sale and don't hangup your fishin gear just yet.

Cheers,
Tony 8-)

Its a top rig James, the rocket launcher and Bimini just look fantastic and I've got your pickie above my workbench contemplating if I should do a copy job... :)
Good luck with the sale don't expect there will be too many dramas.
If you get withdrawal symptoms later on and need a ride in a 17L again then just give me a call. ;)

Looks like the boat we are looking for #8-). What's up the front, are there bunks or is it just storage? What's the fuel storage?

I wanted to know if the transom has been replaced on this boat and how bad the dings were in the keel - if anyone can tell me.

Thanks
Phill

Hi big mack...I have had the boat for about 5 years..the transom still looks original..chips on the keel line are only small & 1 weekend would fix good as new..
Smelly...the stainless canopy is a cruisecarft one thats been modified to suit..was on the boat when I bought it :)
Dave..thats the plan

ps..remember..this is a 20 year old boat & a $13500 boat..

I have to agree with Tony, you can,t go past the southwind. I looked around for a long while after I sold my haines 163C. It was a good old boat and just time to update. I picked up a 2001 Southwind SF550WR with a 130hp saltwater series yammie and it was the best decision I ever made. Hope you get a sale soon

Cheers
