LOCATION: Sutherland Sydney. #
Well, this baby was my first boat, and I love it, but want to get a bit more into it and the misses is a bit of a scaredy cat too so we are going to upgrade to something bigger. #Bit of a long write up - but thats the idea - to sell it!
This boat is PERFECT if you want something a bit better and comfier than a basic tinny, but don't want to spend $15k on a runabout. Its a fantastic fishing boat for 2 blokes.
The hull is an old dehavilland 4.3 runabout. #It has forward steer, comfy front seats with fold down backs (seats also swivel to get in fishing mode!). #As pics show, this isn't your average layout - it has the advantage of full length seating down each side, carpeted flat floor in the middle and another bench seat at the back. #Fantastic layout for a couple of fishos. #Has red and green and all round white nav lights and bilge pump.
The motor is an 89 Johnson 40hp (VRO model with VRO scrapped and back to standard premix fuel pump). #Receipt for motor for $3000 from Yabbie Marine in 2004. #Was told it was reco'ed and vro converted to premix at the time. Around 20 hrs use since maybe. #This boat could do with only a 25 or 30, and this 40 is great to have on the back. #Always flushed after each use. #As you can see from pics, pretty clean indeed. #When I purchased this boat I took a guy with years of tinkering with motors and boats (genuine, not a mate that would say what I want him to) to check it out with me and he was very impressed - hence my purchasing it.
The trailer is a Brooker 2004 model, like new, replacement value a few bucks change out of $1000 (I checked). #I've also Innoxed the whole thing a few trips ago at the ramp with the boat off it and it also gets hosed (oh, sorry, I use a bucket of course) down after each use. 540kg capacity, 13" (I think) wheels.
Includes brand new (30min use to test it, haven't even used it to fish yet) Lowrance X50DS (dual scan transducer) Sounder, retrofitted (you will have to run the cable exactly where you want it), but it all works where it is.
Also includes variety of rope, sand anchor, 2 lifejackets, battery, petrol tank (near full) with new hose.
She's an old hull, which does the job well, with a great motor and great trailer that you don't need to stress about whether its up to the job. #
Boat is boatcoded, whole package is registered & unencumbered.
Considering the decent trailer and motor, new sounder, rego'ed & ready to fish - $3999 not negotiable at this stage.
