Rip Tide (saltwater) electric motor

Have been investigating getting an electric motor for my 3.8 m Jabiru and most advice suggests that I should be looking at a saltwater motor (RipTide or equivalent) due to the estuary work I do - any offers appreciated - I live in northern NSW but get up to Qld (Bris and Townsville) regularly.

G'day Jim,

I have a 42lb Bow Mount, Minn Kota Riptide. It's got the foot control etc.
12 volt, Maximizer, not sure if the Auto Pilot still works ??

Would go well on the Jabiru, as I had it mounted on my 4.6m Clark tinnie where it performed a treat.

Purchased back in the late 90's but has had very little use although it may look a bit dusty from being in storage for the last 3 years.

Original purchase price was over $1500, although they have come down a little in price since then, would let this go for $700.

Dug the Riptide out and got a couple of pics.

Have received a couple of pm's regarding it, so rather than sell it "AS IS", I will be having the motor professionally serviced prior to any sale. At this stage I will absorb the cost of the service and the price will remain the same.

Still looking for an electric O/B. You haven't mentioned if you want a bow or transom mount. I have a (used once) 55lb thrust transom mount saltwater series Minn Kota. Brand new condition. Post me back if interested.
