Managed to get some feedback on that Johnson on ebay:

It is not an E-tec model, the leg is 25 inches, yes it comes with a control box, cables and gauges, It also comes with a 2 year manufacturers warranty.

tempting - but she's up to $6800 with a day to go and not nearly as economical as a some of the other makes, not to mention the e-tec!

Further food for thought .... if you are in the market at $14,500 for an Evinrude, you can pick up the latest Suzuki 4 strokes which are even serving it up to the Hondas for reduced noise with awsome power at around that money coupled with great economy..... no I'm not related to Suzuki anywhere, I have just traded a boat with a 150 HP Honda ... fatenhappy
