G'day All again!!
This is getting to be like one of those rebuilds under Boating :D Ok, I'm now after a 2nd hand depth sounder for the young bloke for his Tuff Tender...he's budgeted up to $500 for this as he really wants some good gear and he's been able to save on the hull and....looks like...the motor. Will know that for sure tomorrow.
He'll look at anything you've got available :D We are in Bundy.
Has named the boat "Li'l Tuffy" 'cause he's only little himself ;D ;D Name not really on yet but just computer workup until tomorrow...just cut it on plotter for him earlier.
Kind regards
Geoff

Geoff,
Just go new you can pick up GPS/Sounder combo for that money.. You saw the clarity of mine at Monduran and that was under $500 new.

What a beauty!! :)
I bet the young fella is still on cloud 9. And for very good reasons.
The rig will be worth every cent just for the smile on the young fellas face. He's done well the save for his first boat.
Just remember to put pictures up when Li'l Tuffy's blooded
P.S. Dont forget the winch post ;)
I see poor old pooch is wanting to get in too. He's just waiting behind the boat waiting for the nod ;)

Good spotting Finga ;D ;D
That's Tigga...named 'cause Tigga's like to pounce.. and he does it all the time!! I think he's banned from the boat at this stage though ;D

That's a sweet looking little tub for a first boat Geoff, bet the young bloke is tickled pink with it.

G'day Canoedle
You better believe he's happy! ;D ;D ;D
I've just made an executive decision for him and picked him up a lovely 2nd hand 6hp Mariner to go on her, courtesy of Troy at Buccaneer's in Hervey Bay, who saw the other Wanted ad on Ausfish.
We're heading back into town when he gets off the bus to get some ply and carpet to start on the casting deck he's designed for it!
Still hunting a Depth Sounder though! #::)

Geoff,
Like Darryl said, go new and get a warranty with it.
The young bloke should be proud with the rig.

G'day Gawby,
Understand totally what you and Daryl are saying, but at the same time, he almost got the Humminbird 727 that Finnatical had up for sale at a much reduced price to normal retail still with warranty, because it didn't fit his boat, so he's just hoping something similar will come up again....also looking at a brand new 727 through one of the other Ausfishers at the moment, but will not know for sure until tomorrow.
Thanks for the comments, and keep your eye out for the "Li'l Tuffy" in a creek near you ;D ;D :D
Regards
Geoff

Sorry Daryl, didn't see your post there :-[ Same as to Gawby...understand and he's taken it on board and I think he will end up with a newby in the end, but he 's still hoping to save that extra dollars that means he can afford other stuff to deck her out with :).
Have sent you a pm about Sunday ::)

Geoff
I have a Navman sounder that the young bloke is welcome to for free. It is great to see a lad into his sport and should be rewarded. I am going to Gladstone on Sunday and would be glad to leave it at somewhere like a servo at Gin Gin or Miriam Vale for you to collect. Let me know if you are interested.
