The price for australian bass fingerlings has dropped to 18 cents each from some surpliers dont think they been this lowsince 1993

Hey Redback,
This happened a few years back & it was about that time that many hatcheries started losing alot of fish. Possibly from cutting corners in a bid to slash production costs. I saw alot of fingerlings that (to me) looked like they had no swim bladders & thus would have died.
I'd rather pay more for good quality stock & get them at a bigger size, at least 50mm long. :D

thought it might have something to do with more suppliers on the market eg ;cashing in on the SIP ;over supply good breeding;our quotes started at 30 cents through to 18 ended up buying at twenty two
