Does anybody know of retailers that sell Madeira Polyneon thread in Brisbane? :) I have not seen it in haberdashery shops or tackle shops. :)

You can get it, I have been using Mettler which is just as good. The problem with Maderia is it's cost. Mettler is better value for money and have a better colour range.

Brian, if you are intending using there metalics, it has silcone wax on to a greater extent than the Polyneons and several coats of CP (colour preserver) should be used to help reduce fish eyes in the finish.

Thanks Myles, I always use filler/preserver before binding the ends of the wrap up anyway.

Brian.

G'day all,
I get my Madeira from here

http://www.thesewphisticatedstitcher.com/mapomaemth.html

and the price is right even with freight compared to thread prices here. Just my 2 cents worth.
