i was wondering if any one who owns a hornet could tell me how quintrex have welded in their movable seat mounts. I am thinking of buying a basic hull and fitting it out myself (cheaper) and want to use a similar movable seat system. I want to know how the seat holes (cyclinders) have been attached. Any advise on this topic or any other ideas or advise for fitting out a hornet would be appreciated.

Hi,
Do yourself a favour and chuck the pedestal seats and go for a full width bench seat. I had bucket seats in my 390 Hornet for about two outings before I tossed them. With bench seats you can sit wherever you like, and not tripping over when lure casting or fighting fish.

Afro,

From memory they weld tubing to rear side of the cross ribs, in the positions needed. They put a poly sleeve inside this to suit the size of the pedestal.

Couldn't go back to bench seats if you paid me. Pain in the arse when chucking lures and fly fishing. They just take up too much room in a smaller boat.
