hello everyone i live and fish out of hobart tas 12 months ago i brought a new 4.10 ally craft and new 30 yam. bit worried now though listening to a couple of members stories i have give it a fair pounding no cracks yet thankfully p.s can anybody tell me if it is really that important to buy proper boat wash been told some detergents have alloy eating nasties in them

Good to see a fellow Taswegian join the site. I live in QLD now but still have my heart in Tassie. Good friens of mine are going home to Hobart tomorrow (Sunday).

About washing your boat: Most vehicle washes contain, amongst other things, SALT!!!!! Check the ingredients before you buy. It is worth the expense to buy a good wash. The best thing is heaps of fresh water and elbow grease with a not too hard brush.

Thanks for advice A.J I will try to post a photo of a nice Tassie bluefin I caught in May this year, just to show you what ya been missing. I'm still trying to work out how to do it though.
