Okay guys and girls, how big of an outboard, HP wise can i put onto this 11foot edgetracker without killing myself and keeping the boat driveable. I may be restricting myself with a limit of 15 hp, dosent seem to be much on offer and i thought about extending my search up to a 20hp. is this feasable or am i kidding myself.
Cheers

Give Harry a ring at Holt Marine at Everton Hills and ask him what the max hp is. He's a Stessl dealer so should know. Would not be too keen to go over the OEM spec. I'm guessing 20 since I think they are heavyish.
Cheers, Clutter.
Max H.P. should be on the I.D. plate.
If you go over, no insurance and maybe illegal

I think 15 is a sensible power limit on an 11 footer and you might find the stern won't balance well with the weight of a 20.

Heya Landy. Why don't you put a pod on the back, whack a 40 on it, Even the coppers won't be able to catch up with ya!
But seriously, don't think you'd need a 20 on it unless you gunna be fishing some long large waterways, or uless you and your fishing partners are slightly on the larger side.
Cheers

G'day all
thanks for the advice, didnt realise that the maximum on the plate would have registration reprecussions. looks like ill have to go with a 15. And im not to chubby but extra speeds allways a good thing,(especially for all of the bar crossings ill do in the 11 footer) :o its also a good thing that i know all of the water police where i fish. ;D
cheers
Michael
