Howdy all
well the 25hp crapped itself by chucking its flywheel and the remains have since become extremely firmly attached to the shaft, so i am trying to make the 18hp into a going concern. I have put the gearbox (foot) of the 25hp onto the leg of the 18hp and everything appears hunky dory however i cannot get the gear selector to move (on the side of the engine and F N or R only). it appears to be seized as the extension that sits up the side of the engine under the cowling appears to move freely but the selector lever will not move at all. I have noticed on the 25hp that the selector does not easily come out once you have undone the screw but it does turn on its shaft easily. Question is how does one get the gear selector lever off and does anyone have any idea why the 18hp engine selector is not moving
Better yet anyone have an engine going cheap.
