Morning all,
Going to put a sea-anchor onto the boat to slow me down off Moreton. Lightning 5.3M Plate C/C. My mate has a "Para-Anchor" which seems to work OK. Any thoughts on this or any other brand would be appreciated. ??? ??? Want to get the gear before the M&G so I won't drift to Ballina. ;D ;D

Yes Peter, the Sea Anchor ( which is advertized in BnB ) is the GO. #Get the anchor and then you have to buy a float around the 15 to 20 cms diameter. #Then buy a good rope to attach to the anchor between anchor and boat. #Then buy some thinner rope2 - 3 mm to tie onto the float and boat.

If you want I will draw up the rig and send it to you, or bring it down to the M&G and we can get it sorted there. #I can even bring mine along.

Phill,
What size do you have on the Big Rig? I would probably need the same. Sent an e-mail to para-anchor with my boat details for size advice but no reply. I want to get one before the M&G.

OK, The Agents for Para- Anchors here are, Witworths, Glasscraft, Springwood Marine and Wynnum Marine. You need a 'Fisherman 4' chute.

As a matter of fact Peter, Travis at Springwood Marine has a " Fisherman 4 " in stock and the cost is $150, plus a couple of bucks for the float. 3208 5755.......ask for Travis. Tell him you are a Ausfish member.
