Edgetrackers need maximum HP permissable for the hull. Especially if you have a floor and casting deck. Until recently i had a 25hp on a 3.7 metre edgie and it seemed perfect certainly wouldnt want much less. Foil may help but go for a permatrim, also try fiddling with the height of your engine. It makes a big difference to the handling and speed.

i would say if you don't want to spend a few $$$ and get a bigger motor than i would fit a foil, i fitted a 300 Se sport, and it is really good, i cant fault i. so try one of them 1st. i think my foil was $120.00
there ezy to fit up and i think they look the best of the lot.
have fun.
catch ya

Most " foils " are designed to help with " Lift ". Ie:- gettin the bum outta the hole. Also they "hold" the craft in the water. Like when ya goin flat chat and the chop is on the water, helps to stop the rear end gettin air.
That's just from my experience. A noticable difference when trying it out on a 4.1 Stessl EdgeDingy, with 40 Yammie.
