A colleague of mine would like some advice on large outboard motors.

He wants to buy 175HP or larger for a ski boat.

The question is ... what is the best brand?

I think he wants two stroke and possibly EFI.

Sorry the question is so general but i thought i would pose it anyway.

The boat will be either Success craft meteor or 1700 - 1800 S signature or similar.

you will hear lots of pro's and cons about DFI 2 strokes, the short of it really is they all have there problems.

IMO your friend should look at either the Yammy or the Evinrude.
