Has anyone got info on whether charging batteries in the boat with a trickle charger would cause electroysis in the hull. I have an isolator switch with 2 batteries and i turn the isolator to both and leave the trickle charger on.Thanks for ya help. Whitey.

I'd disconnect them before charging as it also checks the battery connections at the same time. Batteries shouldn't be stowed in parellel as they will discharge far quicker this way. One of the batteries will always be discharged a little more than the other and a current between them will flow. It's a domino effect.

Ta mate i have disconnected the positives and just ran a jumper lead to the front battery so now they are both isolated from the boat
