hi guys just put in my side console and foward controls in our 4.3 proline made the console the whole job cost me under $800 anyone need any help email me or leave a msg

How difficult is it to fit up forward controls to a tiller stear donk, maybe something i am contemplating in the future.

hi mate i have a 25h/p johnson and it was easy to fit took less than 1 hour to fit the controls about the same for the steering and no it is not a difficult job if you need any help u can contact me on landline 0263864150

I think it might be a touch more complicated than that. A tiller steer OB requires a remote kit for the forward controls. The control cables and the steering cables have to be fitted to the console, routed through the boat or under the floor, and fitted to the motor. Haggard, did you do all this in under an hour???

Steering cables cost about $500 to $800, control cables cost around $120, the control box (throttle and keys) cost around $400, remote kit costs about $500. Did you use all second hand parts Haggard?

I have been there and done that. It is a lot more work and more expensive than I imagined when I took the project on 2 years ago, but it was well worth it and I am very happy with the result.

2nd hand control box and 2 cables $165 from arazona out board wreckers foward control coverters $125 and compete steering kit brand new $358 from phillips marine in lavington

had to cut down the two control cables but yes done all the fitting of these things in under 2 hours old mate
