Ok Then,

Does not appear that anyone knowes the Bajcraft. Surely there is someone out there that has one or knowes someone who does.

From the research I have done I have found out the following info from what i can only say appears to be an outstanding boat.

The one I am looking at is a 6.8 mtr Cuddy or Half Cabin Plate Aluminium. the beam is 2.5 mtrs It comes with dual fuel tanks, 1 x 120 ltr and 1 x 160 ltr, 80 - 100 ltr water tank, loackable cabin, self draining decks, fold down ladder and walk thru transom, good size bunks, flushable toilet, live bait and kill tanks, bait board, 6mm bottom. I will be putting my 3 month old 225 Optimax on her so it should be good rig

As this is my first Plate Aluminium boat and I am buying new and can have anything else added. I would greatly appreciate any advice on what else could be added or any other suggestions.

Thanks in advance.

Jamie

I think these were the guys originally behind Profish boats before Peter bought Profish. Personally I wouldn't touch either breed. How can you be going from something as good as a Signature to a plate boat? Maybe their punts or something might be OK but there are plenty of horror stories about the old Profish boats. Also some from the current owner before he moved the operation to Hervey Bay. Bajcrafts are at Turkey Beach - if you wanted to go plate wouldn't you be better off going with one of the established brands or at least one close to your home so you can keep an eye on it as it is being built?

Not sure about the association with Profish Smithy. I will look into it. But, I can tell you one thing I wouldn't touch another fibreglass boat as long as I live. And as for Signature, never will I ever reocommend them. After 9 and a half years my boat is stuffed with every stringer in it rotten. I ring Signature and leave a message for greg Haines to give me some advice or maybe some ideas of how much to repair and not even the curtousy of a phone call.

All of the research I have done else where indicates that I am onto a winner. Turkey Beach is only 30 minutes from where I live and I live be overseeing the construction.

Thanks for your reply.
