I am looking to buy a bloke's boat down the road as it is in very good nick, however I cannot find any information on the model either on the net or in any magazines. Can anyone point me in the direction of finding some info, else tell me first hand??

Thanks
Bubsy

Hey,
That would be a Haines Signature 630LE. That is what they changed the name to. It is originally sold as a 1950 Signature, released in around 1987 in many different forms (cabin, runabout). They changed the name to the 630LE when everybody went to metric. There is literally hundreds of the 1950's around, but not many 630LE (but they are the same!)
You can be assured the boat is newer than about 1990, but not newer than about 1993/4, which is about when they stopped making this model.
Very good hull underneath it, will run nicely, and more than likely powered by a black max Mercury, about 150-200hp.
The boat, if in good nick, will still pull very good money.
You cant go wrong with a Haines.

Darren
