Jeefo,

Depends how big it is.

But the problem with Aluminium it that it stretches so it is difficult to knock out

its more a bend in the rail... not a dent as such..

Aluminium welder bloke will probably be the best I would think Jeff.
It never seems to come back like new but so don't get your hopes up.

Jeffo,

What are you worrying about cosmetics for? If its a good sturdy hull and quality motor i am sure nobody is gonna mind a bit of a bend in the rail. Save your dollars to put towards new rig. Whatever you pay to get an alum welder bloke to fix would be more than anyone would wanna knock off ya sale price because of the bend. But thats just my thoughts . Good luck on the sale.

Cheers
JD

Hope it got bent from pulling in a big fish over the side.

just give it a smack with a rubber mallet to get it close and save your money like cq fisher said. i've have had a bit to do with alloy welding [smiley=builder.gif], and cutting and rewelding alloy pipe takes time, and time means money. ;D so save your dollars and put it towards the next sounder for the new boat
