Yes. I do the outboard same time I do the boat at around every 6 months. Kept it looking like new. Of course, storage under cover helps too. I used 'Nu Finish' polish -get it at auto shops, Big W, K Mart etc.

Yep me too,
Wash and wax each trip, with a go over every 6 months with Solvex including the motor. Keeps it all a good nic.
Cheers,

Well i never used to with others i have had, just used to give them a good wash and flush after each trip, had this one about 3 months and give it a polish, looks neat, probable do it 3 or 4 times a year.

I polish mine, and have noticed a build up of white ?salt on the upper part of the leg. Not sure what it is or the cause but it always requires removal with cutting polish. Normal polish wont shift it.

I use the 3M - Marine clean and shine
Easy to use and keeps the boat and outboad looking good and repelling water and dirt
Probably use it every 2-3 months ony takes about half an hour max
Also use a 3M Marine wax and polish once a year - that takes a little longer

I polish my boat and motor with maguires wetlook copolimer after every trip. One thing to keep in mind is not to put any on the sacrafical zinc anodes as it will stop them doing their job properly.
