Which new motor?

Looking to buying a new outboard in the 50-70 hp range either 2 or 4-stroke.
Is there any motor that you can pull start and will still run properly if you get a flat battery? Doesn't need a battery to run a computer I guess.

Evinrude ETEC (choice of 50 or 75). All the performance, simplicity and weight advantages of a two stroke with the fuel efficiency, cleanliness and unfortunately price of a 4-stroke.

With regard to price however, factor in the lack of servicing for three years when compared to a 4-stroke and you start way in front.
