As some of you may realise... my old man is purchasing a 25ft bay cruiser...
It currently has a loo that dumps its waste into the bay ....

I have heard about regs that say that new boats need to have holding tanks, and other regs that these tanks are allowed to be dumped in open waters????? #but what is the actual rulings ? and do older boats have to have tanks installed ??

If anyone has links to regs / legislation please post here ...

Thanks in Advance ...

in nsw you don't need to holding tank it is just that your then not allowed to use the loo in enclosed waters without it and if caught using the loo in enclosed waters without the holding tank it is something like a $5000 fine
as for at sea i belive you need to be a few kilometers off shore to dump
