Just looking for info on boat speeds.
My 4.75 alleycraft has a 60 fourstoke Merc. Im getting about 27knots at 5000 revs.
Is this good or bad and how far should you rev a four stroke? havn't had it long dont know what to expect. last motor was 90 johno so they are completely different.

4.55 poly cuddy cab
50hp 4 stroke
2 adults and gear
WOT 49.3 kph @ 6300 rpm (GPS)
usually cruise at 35kph @ 5-5300 rpm as this is amazingly economical.

60 EFI Fourstroke Merc revs to about 6000rpm. If you're not getting that, you may need a prop with less pitch.
