while at the boat ramp today i was chatting to afellow boatie and he was talking about getting a pod fitted to his boat.
i`ve never really thought about it or looked into it but was wondering if anyone could explain the pros and cons of having a pod on a small boat like mine. its a 4.35 seajay drifter with CC and a yammie 40hp.
thanks

pros
excellent place to rest ya bundy whilst flushing the motor on the driveway talking to the neighbours
good when reversing into chop etc
or when drifting with a tailing sea
handy if needing to check motor at sea
hit the plane quicker
allows heavier donks - particulary relevent if going for maximum HP four stroke
looks flash - attracts the skippy-chicks
provides more room inside the boat
cons
(relate to ventilation) as the back sits up you can tend to ventilate at speed on corners when trimmed up or when motoring in a tailing sea
i'm sure there's more - I own a 4.75m topender & would not be without the pod.
don't forget when driving it on the trailer, if you do that, tilt the motor up so the exhaust breather doesnt gag under water and your alarm goes off :D
