Does anyone out have any experience or knowledge of these props & their pros or cons?

Any help greatly appreciated as I am looking to purchase a new ss prop.

Ebs, I believe Streaker just fitteda 4 blade solas to his boat and was very happy with the outcome. Streaker, if your reading this take it away mate.....

Changed my 3 blade alloy out for one of these recently. #Very impressed with improved hole shot, reduced cavitation and improved overall smoothness.

Black n Blue and Monza,
Did you have to go back a size in pitch?
What boat motor combo do you have?
Thanks,
Mick

hi ebs
i am currently running a solas 17'' 4 blade on a 225yammie 4 stroke, pushing a haines 680 hull.
the 4 blade gives it alot more lift at the transom, which gets it out of the hole quicker and alot flatter. also have trim tabs which make a huge difference.
the motor revs out to 6000 rpm.
did 40 miles for 90 litres of fuel with 4 on board and a shitload of gear, didn't turn the motor off all day as we were trolling

tried a 19'' 4 blade and it was far too big, only reved out to about 5500rpm, i know a few blokes running 19'' 3 blades on the same setup, and they are happy

as the others have said, get onto steve at just propellers 54790955, they will point you in the right direction. they will let you try a few props until you are happy with your setup.

cheers

Just got a quote on a solas 18" SS 4 blade for my 200 yamy 4 banger.
$850.00
Was told that this should give better lift in the transom and better fuel economy. He believed that we should also get better holeshot from this also.

I think I know where I'll be spending some coins soon.

Went from a 19" x 14" 3 blade alloy to a 19" x 13" 4 blade stainless, and picked up 200-300rpm which put the rev range right where is should be. Extra revs are probably due to slightly smaller diameter.
