Hi Team, has any of you Hornet owners had a boat cover made for a 445? I live in Tamworth so getting a cover made should/will be a problem. Is there anyone who makes a cover without the boat being there? Can you recommend a good cover maker that would not need the boat to long if I had to take it to Sydney, Newcastle or even Brisbane? I would appreciate some photos posted and some prices you paid. I hope you can help.
Regards Robman

robman ,
I got a cover made at nj canvas in toowoomba for my 445. they have done a few 445's and do a good job. Full cover for boat cost $750 and was worth it.

Nice cover, only thing its missing is a hull cover to stop stones and tar flicking up from the rear tyres on the car and chipping the hull and or sticking to it..

Rob,
yep tow the boat with it on, its made out of tarpoll which is the same stuff they use on softsider trucks. The cover has a drawstring around the bottom that pulls the sides tight for travel and stops any stone chips. No holes drilled in hull for buttons and they made a special mounting bar for the bowmount so it doesn't bounce around as well. The boat can be set up ready to go at home, slide the cover off when you get there and your fishing, or be like my missus and put half the house in when going camping and nothing gets wet or blows out while travelling. It has a lot less wind drag than before which saves fuel.
