My cranking battery died on the weekend, lucky I checked it before I left home.

It was a Seamaster that came with the boat when I bought the package.

I'm running a 60hp 4 str and two sounders with the occasional running of the livewell pump. #I was thinking of going for the Century Marine Pro 500.

Are these any good or can you suggest another brand/size?

Thanks

Macca

Macca my opinion only but cross off the word marine and replace with light truck (some say identical), just as rugged and you will probably be able to go to 700 or higher :) with a bigger reserve for piece of mind and longevity for the same or lesser price and the engine will kickover so fast it will make you jump ;D.
To me 500 is a bit small for a boat esp if it is a starting and also an accessory battery.
For me there will never be a marine stickered battery, that I paid for on any boat I will ever own :-X ;). cheers nq
