Hi all I am stuck for depth and width due to hull shape and width between stringers but I do have some choice in length. Too long robs me of some structural strength and too short would be a pain in the bum. Any ideas welcome thanks nq

a good 4to 5 feet i would say
not big enoght for the big spanish but plenty for most of your reefiys
but then again with out know the other demetions it is hard to say

i guess it will really come down to what ever lenght looks right ;D

Yeah 1200 is plenty. Anything largish just knock the head & tail off to fit it in [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]

Thanks for the replys, 1200 it is, the depth is only 280 to 200 up the hull and the width is 340 I think so just a bit on the small side but it will have to do, I may be able to have one end as a cavity under the floor so might be able to go 1500 at a stretch to make up for it.
Actually that leads me to the next question what is the most practical lid size and is a hinged or removable lid considered the best design? thanks nq

Here's a pic of the kill tank in my old Quintrex. Size 1200L x 350w x 320d. In hind sight a little shallower would have been better. The lid was hinged and note the handles to lift it out for easy cleaning. Hope this is some help for you.

You want it big enough to hide the body NQ.
Just jokes. Kev.

;D Kev, I thought you put all that stuff behind you!
Is someone going to get a smelly surprise when they lift the floor on your last boat 8) ;D he he.

Ron, that looks very useable why would a little shallower be better? Recon Kev would disagree :D Very flash compared to the one I will have.nq

I would probably go for a removable lid, pending on where in the boat it is going to be. There's nothing worse than walking around a boat and having to stand on hinges. Have a look at some of the new boats and see what they have done, there is some good ideas around.
