OR ONE OF EACH LOOKING AT FURUNO 1650WF AS COBO
OR THE 600L AS SOUNDER THE COMBO UNIT FITS DASH
BETTER AS IT IS NOT AS HIGH HAVE ALWAYS HAD 2 UNITS
WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK ANY HELP APRECIATED

Go separate mate, I had a combo and it just makes things more or a compromise.

bugger - how did yoy manage that - personally always preferred separate units - was on a friends boat that had a combo and found it to be a real compromise - convinced me never to do it - I suppose it depends on you usage - if you do very littlte offshore work it may work for you

I've got a Combo, I don't find it to bad, you can set it up so that you can look at multiple screens at the same time, or you can have any info displayed in the corner of whichever screen you are displaying, whether it be the Sonar, GPS or Plotter.
I haven't had seperate units in one boat so couldn't comment on that, one thing I know though, is that when I replace mine, I will be going to seperate units. If one fails, you still have the other.

Oh yeah, how do you back over your sounder and GPS, sounds like something you would try and do if you were going to claim it on insurance.
