I'm just about to pick up a motorguide 54lb 12v motor and need the advice from anyone out there with a similair setup on which battery or batteries would be suitable. It's pulling around my 425 Stessl ET, has got a 30hp johno on the back with what appears to be an alternator output (has a 3-pin plug?)
Can I use the same battery to also run my sounder, nav lights and maybe bilge pump through a fused switch panel?
The boat is wide enough to accomodate 2 batteries like an N70ZZ either side of the transom brace on the battery rack
Any feedback greatly appreciated

Gday wheezer
Mate I brought a calcium battery about 40 bucks cheaper and 18 months more warranty. Last about 6 to 7 hrs on 55 to 60%
power (trolling) and probably 2 days poking around the trees cast and retreive. I have got my sounder connected to the same battery but its an old piece of sh#t so it doesn't affect it. And I don't realy on the battery to start the outboard as its a pullstarter.
