I have decided to bite the bullet and replace my trailer with a Mackay. The problem is which one ?
I want to be able to drive the boat on and have plenty of support.
The boat is a Haines Hunter 470 Breeze with a 90HP Yamaha. What trailer would you guys/gals suggest ?
Thanks in advance
Ash

Try to contact mackay themselfs and chat with them as to which model will really!!! suit your means, i have found dealers more interested in selling there current stock (usually the lightest built and cheapest) than supplying the best trailer for your application.

Hi Dug
I tried that. I spoke to the lady who runs sales and she sort of left it up to me. i.e whethre full roller or keel/wobble combination.
I just wanted to know what others felt would be best for this particular boat. I was hoping some of my fellow Breeze owners might have chipped in with what trailer they have.

Go the full roller..keel rollers are a pain in the but.
Use a full roller Mackay at my work for a 21ft haines ski boat perrrfect

Ashleym,
I'd go the full rollers set up. I've got a Tinka and its easy as to drive on. (That's for a V17R)

anyone buying a new trailer would be well advised to
keep away from this lot...

when i put my boat on it, the wheels no longer rotated, #>:(.

had them move the guards which were butt welded to
the frame and promptly rusted off 12 months later #:'(.
the first trip to the ramp, about 5km, resulted in a collapsed
wheel bearing, the hub would have come off but for the disk
rotor retained by the calipers... #:o
back to denmar trailers for a new axle which he could'nt fit
for a few weeks... #>:(
took the bits off him and did the job myself. #
did not want any more stuff ups anyhow #:P.
these guys are shockers, imho.
